Juanjo Cordero

Juanjo Cordero works with Sustentia as a consultant in the areas of Human Rights, Corporate Social Responsibility, NGO management, Transparency, The Right of Access to Information, and Anti-Corruption. He is a Graduate of Economic and Business Sciences from the Complutense University, Madrid (1995) and has undertaken post-graduate study in Corporate Social Responsibility at the National University of Distance Learning (UNED). In 2004 he gained a Masters in Development and International Aid from the Complutense University, Madrid, 2003.
Juanjo has professional experience from many projects undertaken with Sustentia alongside the Observatory of Corporate Social Responsibility, Open Society Justice Initiative in Perú and Albania among others. He has also worked alongside Civil society organisations such as in the Head of Office in Montenegro for the Movement for Peace, Disarmament and Liberty (Movimiento por la Paz, el Desarme y la Libertad). Juanjo was responsible for implementation of four development projects funded by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECI) within its programme on Sustainable Return and Stabilization of the Balkans. He has also lectured on Negotiation and Oral Communication Skills at the Advanced School for Commercial Management and Marketing (ESIC, Escuela Superior de Gestión Comercial y Marketing) as well as for a Degree in Publicity and Public Relations at the University Rey Juan Carlos. He was Director of the creative publicity competition "Heineken in the University" (in each of 2004, 2005, 2006) and speaker on " Sustainable Development: Strategies and Indicators" at Cantabria University. His business experience has included roles in financial and administrative management and commercial direction.
