{"id":12565,"date":"2014-06-02T11:28:35","date_gmt":"2014-06-02T11:28:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.access-info.org\/s2-using-the-right-to-know\/c7-legal-leaks\/12565"},"modified":"2018-11-13T10:11:49","modified_gmt":"2018-11-13T09:11:49","slug":"legal-leaks-balkans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.access-info.org\/es\/2014-06-02\/legal-leaks-balkans\/","title":{"rendered":"Legal Leaks trainings: enhancing media accountability in the Balkans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Madrid, 2 June 2014<\/em> \u2013 UNESCO and Access Info Europe will be carrying out a series of Legal Leaks trainings during the following month of June in five different Balkans countries, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo.<\/p>\n<p>The Legal Leaks trainings are meant to empower journalists to use their national freedom of information laws as a regular part of their work. The training provides guidance on how to file freedom of information requests and contributes to protect media freedom by delivering techniques by which journalists can protect the security of their data and of confidential sources of information.<\/p>\n<p>Also, all participants will be receiving a national version of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legalleaks.info\/toolkit.html\" target=\"_blank\">Legal Leaks Toolkit<\/a>, which provides guidance on how to file freedom of information requests and how to appeal refusals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The five Legal Leaks trainings will take place in:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u00bb<\/span> Prishtina (Kosovo), 2 and 3 June 2014<br \/>\nIn partnership with the Press Council of Kosovo.
