Bildrici&#8217;s speech will be followed by a round table on the state\u00a0of Turkish journalism titled \u00a0<em>\u201cLifting the lid\u201d \u2013 Accountability vs Impunity. Strategies for making in-depth journalism part of the Turkish media scene.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The round table will be moderated by Yavuz Baydar (P24) and it will include the participation of Gavin Sheridan (Investigative Journalist and FOI expert),\u00a0Staffan Dahll\u00f6ff (Investigative Journalist and FOI expert),\u00a0Sezin \u00d6ney (columnist for Taraf newspaper)\u00a0and Ci\u011fdem Toker (Investigative Journalist for Cumhuriyet newspaper).<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>the second day<\/strong> our Legal Researcher and Campaigner Victoria Anderica will present the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legalleaks.info\/toolkit.html\">Legal Leaks Toolkit<\/a> and discuss\u00a0the importance of the right of access to information for journalists, with a view to\u00a0open data, data journalism, and data security for journalists as well.<\/p>\n<p>Other sessions will cover the integration of access to information into journalistic research strategies (Gavin Sheridan), the procedure to file\u00a0information requests at the EU level (Staffan Dahll\u00f6ff) and introduce attendees to\u00a0Data Journalism (Gavin Sheridan).<\/p>\n<p>The final part of the event (15:30-17:00) will be dedicated to practical training: journalists will work in groups to prepare and submit access to information requests related to their investigative stories.
