{"id":21611,"date":"2015-12-14T13:36:07","date_gmt":"2015-12-14T12:36:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.access-info.org\/?p=21611"},"modified":"2018-11-13T10:04:24","modified_gmt":"2018-11-13T09:04:24","slug":"slovenia-plans-to-impose-charges-on-freedom-of-information-requests","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.access-info.org\/es\/2015-12-14\/slovenia-plans-to-impose-charges-on-freedom-of-information-requests\/","title":{"rendered":"Slovenia plans to impose charges on freedom of information requests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Madrid, 14 December 2015<\/em> &#8211; The <a href=\"http:\/\/europeanjournalists.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">European Federation of Journalists (EFJ)<\/a> together with its affiliate, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.novinar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Slovenian Journalists\u2019 Association (DNS)<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.transparency.si\/\" target=\"_blank\">Transparency International Slovenia<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Access Info Europe, have today called on the Slovenian Parliament to reject a last-minute amendment\u00a0that permits public officials to charge for their time in answering freedom of information requests, something that would be direct interference with the right of journalists and NGOs to access information.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday\u00a015 December, the Slovenian Parliament will hold a\u00a0second discussion on the controversial amendment to the\u00a0<em>Access to Public Information Act\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0that was presented at the very last minute by coalition parties SD, SMC and DeSUS.
