Register here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The importance of the open data debate was highlighted recently when a EU Court of Justice ruling closed down access to beneficial ownership registers, one of the datasets evaluated in the Global Data Barometer.<\/p>\n<h2>About the Global Data Barometer Reports<\/h2>\n<p>There will be two reports released on 16 December:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.access-info.org\/gdb-state-data-europe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The State of Data for the Public Good in Europe<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.access-info.org\/gdb-rti-implementation-europe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Untangling Transparency: Right to Information Data in Europe<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 21 countries are: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<h2>About the Global Data Barometer<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/globaldatabarometer.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GDB<\/a> is a multi-dimensional study that assessed the state of data in 109 countries.
