Call for proposals: web design
6 February 2012: Access Info Europe has opened a call for proposals for a web design for a new project, called EU Citizens, which aims to increase the participation of citizens in the decisions taken by the European Union.
The project is a collaborative initiative by six organisations in five different countries, as well as on the European Union level in Brussels. Project activities include reports, events, online petitions, and campaigns for transparency and participation in the European Union and its Member States.
We are inviting proposals with designs and budgets for a dynamic and attractive website for this project. The deadline is 20 February 2012.
We are looking for candidates who are:
– responsive, flexible and efficient
– experienced in web design
– focused on user
– friendly and intuitive designs
– willing to liaise directly with the project coordinator and webmaster
– aware of the programming skills necessary for the implementation of the design
The organisations are:
Access Info Europe (Spain), AITEC (France), Environmental Law Service (Czech Republic), Friends of the Earth Europe (Belgium), Health Action International Europe (Netherlands) and SpinWatch (UK).
Each organisation will hold events and meetings in their own country and will “adopt” an EU public official. There will also be one central event in Brussels where citizens from each of the six countries can come together to share experiences.
The website will host at least one online petition and some multimedia content (eg. videos, photos), as well as a competition for the “most responsive EU official”.
The homepage design should include the following:
– “Home Page” button
– “About” button
– “EU decision-making” button
– “Events” button
– “Reports” button
– “News” button
– “Contact” button
– Logos of the six organisations
– A clear “corporate” identity for Alter-Citizens
– A small EU logo (at the bottom)
– Facebook and Twitter links
– Space por videos/news/petitions on the front page
